Request from anyone.

My friend and I have an idea for a small story.

I want someone, anyone who has time to sketch a picture for me with these details:

A tall guy, 6ft. Long straight black hair, and the hair will cover the right eye. The left eye will be the Yin-Yang symbol.
He'll be wearing a sinister short trench-coat. The coat should be something like the grim reapers cloak would be in your opinion.
Rock-star type grey jeans with a worn look. A hole in the knees of the Jeans. And a regular pair of skater shoes.
A white belt semi-studded belt and a studded bracelet on each wrist and a dark red shirt with a cool design of your choice.
And a single chain from the front right pocket to the back right pocket. Finally finger-less gloves. Maybe add a necklace with a Yin-Yang on it.

Simple, emo-rockstar sounding person that I'd love to see made. I know some of you will hate this idea but it's for a simple thing my friend and I are doing and we wanted a creepy/emo/rocker guy in it. So I'd be really appreciative if anyone could. Thanks ahead, please be nice about this. *Cough* Sold.. *Cough*

Are you requesting a picture or are you jokin about my sometimes slightly aggressive behaviour? =3

In case it's the former, I'll see what I can do, if anything. If it's the latter... Why on earth would I bash you just for asking a favor?

It's the first, I'd thought you'd naturally bash me for the bland cliche character design.


Also, I'm only requesting a quick sketch at first.. if you do one and like it and want.. you could do a full on picture. :3

It's been a while since I drew some shit. If you want I'll give it a gander. I realised all my drawings are partially vertically stretched because My table is too high and I've been drawing with my eyes looking at the paper from a 45 degree angle instead of directly above. Damn I want a slanted table. Oh well I'll have to make do with a glass panel and a book for now.

A very decent sketch - you put Castle's idea into visual context quite nicely.
If you were looking for a critical review; the right shoe is a little 'swollen' if you get my meaning. Or maybe that's just from my perspective. And the left shoe looks flat/2D-ish. I know how hard it is to draw shoes/feet from that angle and I can only dream of doing better so take my review how you want to xD

The face is epic - love the expression and fusion you put in there which mixes manga-style features and reality-style ones. The only thing that looks out of place in that area is the clarity of the head and hair compared to the rest of the body - or maybe the fact that you deliberately outlined the jacket gives it unnecessary contrast.

Either way, it still looks pretty awesome.

Yeah about the feet thing...I still have not mastered that yet xD If you closely at the paper in which I drew it (can't be seen on the scan) there are tons of erase marks on it xD

Either way I like it. Are you planning to do a full version? :3

No, no my friend; a sketch is something that can be erased, ripped up, thrown in the trash, burnt, and can be lost forever... whereas an idea is invincible, bulletproof, everlasting and most importantly, limitless.

Oh lookie, I did find the time to post some replies. Why? Because my class is sitting around watching Wrong Turn 2 of all things. Wrong. Fucking. Turn. 2. A movie about incestuous cannibals with superstrength. You can imagine the double facepalm I'm doing right now.

I am sitting in a room full of people who would describe that as a good movie. fml.

But really now, I'll get onto that picture of yours soon enough. It's a simple idea and I am currently thinking about a perspective shot up close, but chances are that I'll just - as I always do - color NKDZ' work. The guy's a genius after all.

Actually, I found a pretty nifty tutorial on coloring with photoshop. It's not what most people do, but it's a simple way to get impressively... clean results.

Also, Riri, you remember that wabbit picture I promised ya? I'll make it, I swear. :D

I think you could do your own art as well. Nicks art is awesome, and so is your colored version of his art. But your own stuff would be nice to see. :3
