Haven't had much time for a week.

So, for about a week I didn't check on this site much, because I was pretty damn sick. And when I checked on it, I saw that there were almost no posts the entire time. Just wondering if the post-new years' blues caught on or if it's exams-time over at your places are if you had a similar fate as I did.


It's just a bit strange to keep seeing that people check on the site but don't post anything, that is all.

Sadly, there's not much I can do to get people on here. I invited a few people to join the forum, but the ones who looked at the site didn't make any accounts and/ or didn't care. Can't say I'm not trying though - and thanks Castle for asking your friends to join. Too bad it didn't really work out. Also, too bad SAI can't be back on here, really.

Of course the Steam-account-making is still of some importance; I can't believe that it's only going to be Pipoca and me making this site have anything to do with gaming in the future.

In completely unrelated news, I'm working on a picture right now, but it's not a coloring of one of NKDZ's awesome works (I swear he'll go pro someday) yet, but more something I had in my eyes for a while.


Maybe it's even going to be good enough for me to post the finished thing.

I'm probably one of the main culprits of the 'view-posts-don't-post' people here, and you probably know that already.
In a theoretical sense, you could say that the cause for the silence was because of a chain-reaction type of thing: somebody posts a topic that a lot of people can't relate to or are not interested in, then these people don't reply to the topic, then the topic author starts posting less, leading to a decline of topics hence a decline of posts, and inevitably resulting in the silence you experience here.

I speak for myself here - as I am going through my first genuinely important year of school exams are pretty much constantly revolving through the subjects. Last week I had 3 1hour+ exams, this week I have 4. I need daily 2hour+ practices of violin/piano as I have my biggest grading exams coming up in a month, including 3 separate competitions which my parents persuaded me to prepare for. I'm sorry that my own 'absence' is adding to this post-deficit but on a honest level I really can't procrastinate during a time like this.

I was mostly asking around. Thank you for caring enough to explain your reasons though - best of luck with your exams, they definitely are far more important than a website. I'm surprised you even have exams at a time like this, but our school systems are vastly different from country to country anyway.

In hindsight, the way I wrote this had it sound a bit like an accusation more than just a question, and I want everyone to know that this was not my intention. And your analysis on why the silence ensued - wonderful. Doubt anyone could have found a better way to put it.

You think you'll ever post a piano or violin song on here, Ranger? I'm starting to tire of this anonymity on here personally, but we're not expecting you to put your name into the video/ mp3; I just want to hear how good you are, because you seem to take this very seriously and you practice a lot. Plus, who else could I annoy with my TH piano arranges? :>

Anyway, sorry if my childish question took too much of your time studying - like I said again, best of luck to ya. I'm personally not exactly fit again, yet I got to go to school from Monday onwards anyway.

I'll be perfectly honest.. The only thing that I haven't posted on was game related and I was just not interested in the Ipod stuff, and there was the anime discussion. I just had nothing to say.

I do have more friends to invite, I just don't think they'll stay. e.e

Sold, you had perfect rights to ask about the hushed air around here - how else would you go about dealing with it? No I think you did it exactly right, as you didn't demand for more posting etc, and please take me seriously: I did not take it (and I'm sure nobody else did) as an accusation.

As for my own reasons - you also had a 100% right to know about them, and I had the responsibility to take the time to explain them, which I hope I did fully.
Why do I have exams? Good question. I should have had them during December, but because of a family issue we had to go abroad for a month. I missed all of them and so have to sit them on my own now whilst my peers go to class.

My instrument playing - I don't take it as seriously as my parents would like. I said I needed more than 2 hours of daily practice - I never said I did that amount. Nevertheless it does take up quite a bit of time, and for this reason I don't think I'll be able to also focus on practising for a TH piece with all the other grading pieces I have to get through.

Thanks for understanding, though. And don't worry, I'm not a complete geek. I study when I have to and I try to do it as fully as possible, but when I don't...? You should see my house parties where nobody's in but me and I have the place to myself....

It's also the people checking the site less and less that worries me...

but maybe I'm just developing some kind of Stockholm syndrome for my Admin-duties. Or some perfectly unhealthy paranoia.

Ah well. Time to get a social life.
