-.- Woah guys, let's be a little more considerate now? Some comments to this topic are now involving some sort of derrogatory comment or one that contains unnecessary language which may result in somebody getting offended. 'Sad', 'gay', '[insert offensive word here]' etc, what is the need? Psychox took her own time to post a topic that was merely informing and inviting you guys to this tradition or whatever it is. That doesn't mean you should offend her or be too direct in your comments. Yeah, this tumblr prom might not be your thing, and you might disagree with it on a definite level but keep the harsher emotions to yerselves. There's nothing wrong with a simple 'that ain't my thing'. I know you all have the right to your freedom of speech but you also as humans have the responsibility to respect what others have to say, otherwise the whole 'right to your own opinion' kinda means nothing.
I know I might sound like a Nazi after this but I'm trying to warn whoever might have the idea to follow the example of some people in this thread, that it ain't good for ya. I be watching ye's. Yep, we can all have our fun. But when it gets too far and if I intervene then it'll pretty much be useless. In my opinion it's more effective if I say this now when it's not reached danger levels yet.
Ranting aside, a ball does have all the stereotypes of being one of those posh upper-class Victorian traditions where rich dudes+dudettes wearing dresses and stuff do waltzes with a group of fiddle-players in the background. But naw, trust me it's kinda the same thing as a prom, just named differently. I've been to a few myself and they're kinda quite fun as long as you get the drinks in and the fancy limo rides.
